Cool Blue Wedding Inspiration
When you think of a cool blue wedding theme, think frosty sparkle, icy accents and shades of white, silver and blue.

Ceremony Decor: Aisle Style
Whether you're having a church, civil, or an outdoor ceremony you can add something special to liven your aisle up, or to bring a little colour and personality to your chosen venue. From wedding aisle runners, to rose petals to teepees, there's lots of ways to bring a little of what you like to your ceremony. Have a look at some of our fave ideas that will work whatever your budget may be. By Karen Birney

A way to add a little detail to your ceremony decor is to make a feature of the chairs you will sit on. You can decorate with some flowers, or sashes, or even try bride and groom signs for something a bit more modern. Top image by Dave McClelland. If you're looking for something more artistic, try creating your own 'alter'. This teepee(/tipi) style feature (top left) is made using wooden sticks, ribbon and is held up by branches of the tree behind. Image by The Wedding Artists Collective via 100LayerCake. This Indian style garland feature (middle) and traditional Indian lamp is a beautiful way to add some vibrance and custom to the ceremony alter. (Please check out this entire wedding HERE, as posted in 100LayerCake, the groom is the co-founder of Pinterest and the couple walked down the aisle to 'You're so cool' -the music from one of my favourite romantic movies of all time, True Romance. Amazing.) A great way to decorate your ceremony on a budget is to use fairylights (top right). Hanging vases (bottom right, image by Cat Satre via StyleMePretty) and pillar candles (bottom left, via ElizabethAnnDesigns) are beautiful ways to line the aisle.

WOL Picks: Wedding Dresses 2012
The newest wedding dress styles and details for 2012 includes pastels, a combination of lengths, fantasy necklines and more fabric! These designs appeared on dozens of runways, marking their official debut on the wedding scene.
Short: We love these shorter dresses by Tobi Hannah. Last season, three-dimensional skirts were in, this season, designers are focusing on shorter hemlines, creating skirts with tiers that flatter all shapes!
Length combinations: Dresses that are short at the front and long at the back are very popular for 2012 and give you the best of both worlds! Carol Hannah’s dress is also layered with a sweet-heart neckline, adding to the overall drama and romance of the gown.
The one-shouldered dress, as seen here with Matthew Williamson, is flattering on most body types and a great way to show off your shoulders with a bit more coverage than a strapless style. Feminine, romantic and sexy!
Mesh is most often used in underskirts to create volume and shape, however designers, like Tara Keely for Pronovias, are now exposing this fabric to create another dimension to the wedding gown. This style also looks really unique, frothy and feminine!

Pastels: For BHLDN’s Spring/ Summer 2012 collection, off-shades of white and pastels featured heavily. These subtle shades of colour, like the silver seen here, can be really chic and offer something different to the brides who want to shun all things traditional, conservative and white!
Fantasy necklines are big this season as seen here with Reem Acra’s 2012 Collection. A sheer layer of fabric covers the skin, so you get a strapless look with some added coverage - two looks for the price of one! This style is soft, elegant and perfect for brides who don’t want to feel over-exposed or too-covered-up.

Wedding Trend Alert: Statement Earrings
The goddess that is Sofia Vergara only needs to flutter her luscious lashes to turn heads, but at the Emmys this week it was her ears that did the eye-catching. Many brides like to opt for an upstyle for a classic and neat look on their wedding day, but if they’re anything like me they may feel a little exposed having all their hair off their face. Big earrings are a great way to make you feel feminine and elegant and provide a little security blanket if you’re used to having hair to play with!

Rainbow Colour Palette
The WeddingsOnline girls are in sunny spirits this afternoon (look at that blue sky!) so we thought a little colourful palette would be a nice addition to the today's blog posts! If you are having a pre-wedding shoot with your photographer, colourful balloons are a gorgeous way to add some sparkle to your images, and will give you something to play with if you're feeling a little shy. What is your Bridal Shoe Style?
After the dress, your shoes are the next big fashion statement you can make on your wedding day. Question is: Are you a classic, understated and clean cut bride, or a bright and bold bride? Nude shoes were huge in 2011 and will continue to be big in 2012. The reason? Nude heels elongate your legs, look super sophisticated and can be worn with every colour and outfit after the wedding!
