Few things are to me as elegant and beautiful as a veil. I love the symbolism of it, I love that the only appropriate time to wear a white veil is at your wedding. And I love how it makes a bridal look come together like nothing else can. It doesn't matter if you are a style fiend or as traditional as they come, there is a veil for everyone. These are my favourites.
This week I came across designer Elizabeth Dye from Portland, Oregon. She owns a store call The English Dept where she carries leading bridal designers and her own line of gowns. The below images are from her very own collection, I love these designs. They are so soft, feminine and stylish...and the best news? You can buy her reasonably priced designs on Etsy! Here is the link. www.etsy.com/shop/englishdept
It's my job to know whats going on in the wedding world. It's my job to sift through the wedding blogs daily, to know the trends and know what photographers are on the 'it list'...and if you were to ask ...its my favourite part of the job. I love seeing how much talent is out there. And just when I thought I'd seen it all, I find someone totally new and totally amazing, like today. I came across Jill Thomas, who is responsible for these stunning wedding photos. Of course it doesn't hurt that the bride is beautiful and stylish. Oh and...her mother made her dress...yea...

This wedding is perfection as far as I am concerned. Not only does it have amazing details and the dress is to die for, but you can also sense that the bride and groom and their guests were having a great time. Which to me is more important than anything! Photographed by the fabulous Marie Labbancz.
Umm...this is awesome. It was for a wedding on Halloween-how perfect would that be?
Found this on La Partie Events blog (B Mag friend/contributor). Photo by Erin Hearts Court.
In a bridal fashion world full of the trendy details that look far better on the anorexic model than on a full fledged-pear shaped-big hipped-small busted-real bride, it is a relief to find a designer who does 'classic'...and does it well. Style Me Pretty was showcasing their photographers work from New York Fashion Week, and it struck me how wonderful the Vineyard group is, Priscilla of Boston being my favourite.
I love Cymbeline. We are researching '10 trends for the next B Mag...so thought I would give a little sneak peak. You can just tell how well designed this collection is (doesn't hurt the backdrop is Paris...)
Finding a wedding gift for my fiance was not as easy as I would have hoped it would be. I wanted something meaningful, useful and inexpensive-not an easy combination. During my daily etsy search I found vintage map cuff links (see top right picture below) and loved them. One of them was of the location we met and the other was the location he proposed, all for $50! Here are a couple other ideas:

I already have my perfect gown (refer to the Vera Wang Sample Sale article). I love it more than I love most people (ok, that may be a tad extreme, but definitely more than I love most pets). It is amazing and just what I wanted. But it hasn't stopped me from looking at my favourite designers, which at the moment are; Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Priscilla of Boston and Bari Jay. I was researching for the fashions of the autumn and had to share my favourites. I love lace, I love plush fabrics and I love simple silhouettes.
I am a bit biased towards Vera Wang since she did my dress, but I think anyone can appreciate her talent for making the traditional so beautifully modern.
These dresses are from Priscilla of Boston, Sassi Holford and Bari Jay. I love he fabric of the first one, the delicate details of the second and the amazing lace in the third.
