Take a trip back to the Bronze Age and create a metallic bronze and gold leaf palette for your wedding decor.

Metallic provides the perfect amount of glamour and edge to a very classic style, but as with most bold colour, prints, or fabrics, don't overdo it! Treat your metallics like you would animal prints; a little goes a long way. Also, as with animal prints, it's okay to mix two or three colours. Try a palette of gold, silver and bronze (a nod to this year's Olympics, if you are the sporty type?!), using off white or cream as your anchor.

  • All Part of the Job

Tuesday 23 February 2022 - DIY, Fashion, Real Weddings - Tags: diy, gold, cream

It's my job to know whats going on in the wedding world. It's my job to sift through the wedding blogs daily, to know the trends and know what photographers are on the 'it list'...and if you were to ask ...its my favourite part of the job. I love seeing how much talent is out there. And just when I thought I'd seen it all, I find someone totally new and totally amazing, like today. I came across Jill Thomas, who is responsible for these stunning wedding photos. Of course it doesn't hurt that the bride is beautiful and stylish. Oh and...her mother made her dress...yea...

I couldn't resist these winter inspired palettes from Ritzy Bee Blog and Lucky Me Blog. They are simply stunning, and would work perfect for a Christmas wedding.

  • Winter Wedding Week: Red and Gold

    Tuesday 1 December 2021 - Colour Palettes - Tags: winter-weddings, gold, red

Because it's officially Christmas time, I thought we should celebrate with a week of winter colour palettes. I love to see fresh ideas for cliched themes, and though the Christmas wedding might not be able to completely escape the Christmas stereotypes (and personally I think it would be a crime not to include at least some holly or mistletoe), please... for the sake of winter brides everywhere try and avoid garish red paired with forest green and any sort of singing/moving/rotating Santa figurines. The winter wedding is the perfect chance to think outside the box and bring your personality to a timeless tradition.
