Pink and turquoise is the perfect colour palette for the simple reason - it’s so unique! It will definitely make your wedding stand out from the crowd and one that won’t be forgotten in a hurry. Turquoise is a colour known for its serenity and peaceful qualities. Pair it with an uplifting shade of pink and you’re on to a definite winner! Most hues of pink look good, but blush is our favourite and works well with lighter shades of turquoise! Try a teal shade for a more sophisticated look, or aqua for a beach or garden wedding for a more chillaxed feel!

Coral and pale blue is a wedding colour theme that won’t be forgotten in a hurry! Bright and fresh, and a theme that really packs a punch, it’s perfect for the couple who wants to add a bit of fun and excitement to their day. You can play down this combo if you feel that it’s a bit overbearing, having accents of it in your flowers, table centres, and other parts of your decor or play it up in your bridesmaid dresses, invites, jewellery, and shoes.

We've become a little bit obsessed with all things crochet, white and doily-like in the past week (in fact, I may have impulse bought this crochet dress from Zara the same day I write this article on crochet for bridesmaids... darn it!) Anyway, doily details aren't new to the wedding world, but, by gum, are they gaining in popularity. The best thing about this theme (besides the fact that it's super pretty, obviously) is that it allows for so many mini DIY projects. While the doily-inspired dress in the above photos was actually handmade by the bride herself (agh! I've done nothing with my life!) we don't expect you to get lost in a sea of popcorn and afghans... There are plenty of easy peasy DIY doily projects to get your crafting juices going, such as this doily envelopes project from Bride & Joy and this gorgeous project for doily confetti cones from Heartmadeblog.com.

This wedding palette is all about mystical, mythical, whimsical wedding wonder - we dare you to say that fast. Looking at Kate Moss’ wedding makes us think that all other weddings are meant to be like it! With its layers of bohemian wonder, unusual styles and fabulous headdresses, really what’s not to love about all things wedding whimsy? For this look, ruffles are an absolute must, flowers should be everywhere, and vintage is your go-to trend. By adding a quirky couple your nuptials will scream fanciful.

After interviewing Sara Mazzei from Infinity Weddings & Events last week for this piece, I just can’t seem to get my mind off bella Italia. So much so that himself had to hide my iPad over the weekend when I decided I had to know EVERYTHING there was to know about Florence, Rome, Tuscany, Venice...and that he had to know them too. Sadly, the closest I got to booking a trip to Firenze was having a glass of red wine (actually from South East Australia) and some pizza (which I’m pretty sure was made in Wicklow) and watching The Italian Job on Channel 4 (original version, though filmed moreso in the UK than in Italy I suspect).
Anyway I decided to day dream again today, while the rain beats down on my skylight, about warm evening sunsets, scrumptious blueberry sweets and a silken-clad sposa on the rolling hills of Tuscany.

Spring is all about fresh flowers and pretty pastels -what better colour scheme to evoke for the most romantic day of your life? However some brides don't go for all things girly and pink, so this palette is the perfect choice for those wishing to create dreamy wedding decor with touches of feminine fancies, but at the same time want a more mature, refined style of occasion.
Grey will be your anchor for creating this palette, and you can go from various intensities and shades of grey (have at most three shades, to keep some consistency however) The trick to this is to use accents of pale pinks and greens to brighten up the palette, in flowers, accessories, and with stationery and table decor.

This classic colour pairing not only looks fantastic for Easter weddings but also in the spring/ summer season. It's a colour combo that evokes soft soothing feelings that signify a stylish fresh start to married life. One of the best things we love most about this soft eggshell blue and nude colour scheme is that you can use it in every part of your wedding because it’s so calming and gentle. Integrate it into your big day by using it in your flowers, wedding dress - as your ‘something blue’ perhaps, bridesmaid dresses, shoes, head table and altar decor.

It's Valentine's Day tomorrow and we're feeling all warm and fuzzy here in WOL, so we thought we'd put together a little Valentine's Day wedding palette to rosemantic up the WeddingsOnline Blog.
Now as you may already know, red is a bit of an iffy colour for us WOL girls, our view is it's far too easy to OD on when it comes to wedding decor and can be very overpowering in photographs, however, there's nothing better than a few red accents on a Valentine's Day celebration. Afterall, red is the colour of passion, love, and festivity!
Red has a tendency to bleed into white, so go for an off white or cream colour as a staple. Ways to incorporate red in a subtle way are in shoe clips, nail colour or as earrings, or as accents in your decor with small red heart confetti or as table numbers. By Karen Birney

Take a trip back to the Bronze Age and create a metallic bronze and gold leaf palette for your wedding decor.
Metallic provides the perfect amount of glamour and edge to a very classic style, but as with most bold colour, prints, or fabrics, don't overdo it! Treat your metallics like you would animal prints; a little goes a long way. Also, as with animal prints, it's okay to mix two or three colours. Try a palette of gold, silver and bronze (a nod to this year's Olympics, if you are the sporty type?!), using off white or cream as your anchor.

Berry and plum create a delicious wedding palette and we thought, a perfect one for a Hallowe'en wedding with those dark, almost gothic colours. Berries may be primarily in season during summer, but who is to stop you from adapting their deep, sumptuous colours into you wedding scheme. Inkeeping with the berry palette, wine and cheese boards would work perfectly with this theme, along with wine cork accents and rustic wooden furnishings.
